We begin the big Fallas week with the plantà of our children’s falla, “Fem Massa Fem”, a monument that speaks about recycling, caring for the environment and, above all, the future.
Today is the day when our entire children’s commission feels the most excitement. Our representatives Gorka and Carolina collected the ninot from the exhibition and afterwards the youngest members experienced first-hand how the monument gradually took shape in the street, helping and lending a hand wherever it was needed. It has been a day of shared work, where everyone contributed their part to make sure the falla was ready.
In this falla, the recycling bins come to life and stop being simple objects to become characters that observe, wait and teach. Each colour holds everyday stories: papers that once were drawings and homework, containers that can have a second life, bottles that recall shared moments, and organic waste from which something new can grow.
This children’s falla reminds us that big changes do not require big gestures. Small hands, attentive eyes and the will to leave a slightly cleaner planet for those who come next are enough.
