Pintor Domingo today: we keep growing, we keep making history

To understand where Pintor Domingo is today, we need to look back a little. 2025 was the year when something began to change in our commission. After a few more difficult years, we began to regain participation and activity and, above all, to feel once again that our falla was growing.

And there was one moment we remember in particular. Our Children’s Fallera Mayor, Aitana Arqués Pastor, was preselected as a candidate for Fallera Mayor Infantil de València. Her preselection was a huge joy for her, her family and Pintor Domingo, but it also meant a great deal to a commission that was beginning to regain its presence and confidence.

2025 also brought us some excellent results. Our main falla won 4th Prize in Section 8B and 1st Prize for Wit and Charm, while our ninot “Arròs amb Coses” won 1st Prize in its section and 1st Prize for Wit and Charm at the Exposición del Ninot, as well as being nominated for the prestigious Premios Raga.

But it wasn’t just about awards. Something even more important began to happen that year: Pintor Domingo started to regain a great deal of activity. The casal, celebrations, events, children’s activities and all the work carried out throughout the year began to play an increasingly important role.

2026 confirmed that it hadn’t happened by chance

If 2025 was the beginning, 2026 confirmed the change. Activity continued to grow throughout the year. We brought back traditions that had not been celebrated for years, introduced new activities and once again made Pintor Domingo’s calendar extend far beyond the days of Fallas.

After many years, we also had four representatives once again. Sofía, Carolina and Gorka, together with our president, Alfonso, represented Pintor Domingo during a year that became one of the most important in our recent history.

Our main falla, “The Fake Art”, achieved something we had never accomplished before: 1st Prize in Section 8B and 1st Prize for Wit and Charm. This historic double was joined by the results of our children’s falla, “Fem massa fem”, which took on the challenge of moving up significantly in category and won 8th Prize in Section 20 and 3rd Prize for Wit and Charm.

It was a Fallas with plenty of awards, but also a great deal of activity. And that is precisely what we mean when we talk about Pintor Domingo’s growth.

And in 2027, we keep moving forward

That growth has not stopped with the start of a new Fallas year. In 2027, Pintor Domingo has returned to the El Pilar – Sant Francesc Fallas Association, of which our commission was one of the founding members.

For us, this is not simply about belonging to an association again. It means reconnecting with a part of our history and once again playing an active role alongside the other commissions in our sector. We want to be there, take part and contribute.

2027 already has a name of its own

And this new year also has a leading figure: Cristina Pastor Calvo, our 2027 Fallera Mayor.

Cristina will represent Pintor Domingo alongside our president, Alfonso, during a year that begins with a more active commission and new projects ahead.

Cristina has her year, her falla and many special moments ahead of her. We are very excited to experience them with her.

Growing while remaining a family

Pintor Domingo is growing, and this can be seen above all in the activity we have throughout the year. We have brought back traditions, created new initiatives and made our casal increasingly active, while holding on to something that is fundamental to us: we remain a family-oriented falla.

None of this would be possible without the people who dedicate their time and effort to the commission and, especially, those who support Pintor Domingo entirely voluntarily, sharing their knowledge and helping us whenever we need them. Alongside them are our sponsors and supporters, whose backing enables us to carry out many of our projects.

Falleros, families, friends and supporters are all part of what Pintor Domingo is today and of this new chapter that we are experiencing together.

We have more than 140 years of history, and now it is our turn to live this chapter.

We keep growing stronger, we keep making history… and we are doing it together.
