Falleros, falleras, friends, supporters and neighbours:
Once again, I have the opportunity to address you through our website, but this time I do so after experiencing a 2026 Fallas that we will not easily forget at Pintor Domingo.
We achieved something that had never happened before in our commission: our main falla’s historic double, winning 1st Prize in Section 8B and 1st Prize for Wit and Charm. Our children’s falla also rose to the challenge of moving up significantly in category, winning two JCF awards as well as other prizes and recognitions. They were days filled with great moments and results that gave us so much to celebrate as a commission.
But our falla is much more than just the days of March. Perhaps that is what I value most about the moment we are experiencing.
Our casal is full of activity, we have brought back traditions, such as the Christmas nativity scene, that had not been celebrated for years, we are doing new things and we continue to find any excuse to get together. Some things turn out better than others, and some take far more work than they may seem from the outside, but there is always someone willing to lend a hand. Those people are Pintor Domingo.
And when I talk about our people, I don’t mean only our falleros. We have friends and supporters who generously dedicate many hours of their time and contribute their work and knowledge to this falla without asking for anything in return. People who are there whenever they are needed and who often work behind the scenes, without anyone seeing them. As president, I especially want to thank them.
This year we have also returned to a place we should never have felt far from: the El Pilar – Sant Francesc Fallas Association, of which Pintor Domingo was a founding commission. Sharing activities once again with our neighbouring fallas and reconnecting with that part of our history was important to us.
And if 2027 has a name of its own, that name is Cristina.
Cristina, you are our Fallera Mayor, and I want you to enjoy everything that lies ahead of you. There will be important days, others you probably won’t expect, nerves, events, preparations and many hours spent at the falla. Live every moment. You have me by your side as president, but above all, you have your commission, your people and your Fallas family behind you. I hope that when the year comes to an end, you can look back and say that every minute was worth it.
To my Board, thank you once again. I know perfectly well how many hours go into every decision, every activity and every problem we solve before it even has the chance to become a problem. And to all our falleros, thank you for taking part, for coming down to the casal and for keeping Pintor Domingo alive throughout the year.
We have more than 140 years of history, but a falla does not live on its history alone. It lives through the people who are part of it today.
And that is the Pintor Domingo I want: an active, close-knit falla and, above all, a family.

For me, it is a true honor to be president of this small yet great commission. Taking on this responsibility means continuing the legacy of a commission with more than 140 years of history, working to keep our tradition alive and to strengthen the sense of belonging that unites us as a fallero family.

Mascot
The falla’s mascot is a beloved figure within our commission, chosen each year as the youngest boy or girl, becoming the symbol of the fallero “youth academy” and a reflection of the continuity of our tradition. Being a mascot is an honor that represents the hope for the future and the importance of those who, from their earliest childhood, are already part of our fallero family.
